This store is by far one of the best Indian / Middle eastern grocery stores in Northern Colorado. It is well stocked, very organized, and most importantly VERY CLEAN.Fresh vegetables are available every Thursday. The owners are very friendly and always willing to help customers recipes or any other meal ideas.

Ever since coming back from Toronto, I've had a craving for Barfi. Go ahead, laugh. Make the wisecrack. Barfi is a sweet confection made from milk, butter, sugar, and a little flavoring. Cardamom is my favorite. It's like fudge. I wasn't sure if I was ready to venture into trying to cook this just yet. But I walked into India's Rice and Spice and it was right there. LOTS of it and all the variations; Cashew, almond, pistachio. Different varieties and brands... The one I brought home was a fresher package, make in California, with pure ingredients. A little pricey (compared to what I paid in Toronto--but I gotta stop doing that, this ain't Toronto) at 6.99 for way less than a pound, but who needs to eat a pound of Barfi? Apparently I might... Oh, I also found some Mukhwas that I've been looking for, for like 25 years. Really, I kid you not, I really do mean 25 years. Mukhwas is the candied fennel and mints mix that you often see in a bowl at the Indian restaurants. It's a digestive aid and a breath cleanser. I prefer to eat it like candy. Like I said, I've been looking for a special blend of Mukhwas, and I've looked in many places. Clean shelves, orderly....lots of chapati and naan in the freezer. The only thing that was a bummer was that there were no price tags on things.

The only reason this place has great reviews is because its the only Indian grocery store nearby. (The next one is at Boulder). Terrible stock of vegetables - they're all about to rot! Good stock of non perishables, but pricey because the mark ups are so high. For people who cook Indian food just occasionally, this store will do, but for those who cook it daily, it makes more sense to drive down to Denver and stock up once a month or so.

Great Indian grocery store! They have what looks like to be a very complete selection of items. The staff here are always very nice and pleasant to deal with. They also have an impressive selection of movies from India, Bollywood movies. I don't think they are for rent but I am not sure, I think you just buy them. Since I love film I would get some but there are so many films I don't know which ones I would want to buy. Indian films are kind of a weak point for me. Great place to go in if you want to make Indian dishes or to just browse.

Excellent store! having been to every Indian market in Co. Springs (have yet to adventure to Denver ones), this store was by far the best. It boasts the most comprehensive spice selection by far, huge selection of flours/ dal/ grains, a big selection of Patak products, lots of snacks, and like the other reviewer mentioned, good frozen and refrigerated food (Paneer!). Also has a modest selection of produce housewares which was really neat to browse. Very clean, well kept, Owners were super friendly and helpful even when busy. Will definitely go there again and again.

They have mostly everything you need for Indian cooking, but fresh curry leaves are hit or miss, so call ahead.
